i do love me some cameron.
and she is the guest poster at the favorite butterfly effect this week.
Her theme is in the woods.
i mean
In The Woods.
in retrospect, i see that my piece is not nearly as woodsy as it seemed to my wine soaked mind last night.
assuredly, it contains my most favorite origami fabric paper which seriously has some nature type trees on it.
also i stamped.
and used embossing powder.
i think that is very crafty of me and shows how much i love cameron to have went the extra crafty mile for her theme.
since you are dying to see the other extension of this painting
(in my mind)
i'll show you.
| oh, now look at that glare. dangit. |
I've been painting nothing but these inky girls all week
so hopefully i'll have it all out of my system soon.
we'll see.
Tomorrow's live shindig is on livestream
all pertinent info is in the sidebar ------>
If you join in you'll need your craft paints, legwarmers and a leotard.

I'm so loving these faces! :) You gotta tell me what you used for that circle dotted purple thing. That reminds me to start on that Traci workshop. Did you watch it yet?
I love you, too....mailed you something this morning! :)
Y'know, I saw the girls....then instantly appreciated those leaves! Thanks for the extra effort, though, I think everything you do has "extra effort" in it ;P
You really know how to mix things up and use your stuff!
I'm bummed I'm missing so many classes! This needs to change!
Kiss, hug...and a back walkover into a split...in the woods,
Cam
so sorry i miss all your workshops, oh well... that's life!
love these girls though! such a more.... I'm not sure what word I'm searching for, somehow "cleaner" than your others, hope you know what i mean! After looking again, I think it's because of the clean black lines you're now outlining with.
Oh, these new girls are awesome. Love the sultry look about them and the pouty lips. Both os these paintings are gorgeous. The top one with the leaves is my Fave. I too would love to know how you did the purple bit 'cos I see it sneaking in the top one too ??? :-D I will try to get in for another class but the time diff makes it tres late for me :-(

I love these but I have to say that in my wine soaked mind tonight they seem more disco-ey than in the woods-y. Maybe because i'm listening to New Order as I type this. I don't know.
I love everything you do!
Wow, check out those moody ladies. Don't you find that the thing with your Muse is you tell her you want to paint woodland and she just paints whatever she darn well chooses?
Lovely leaves and I'm also intrigued by the dotty ball...
Will struggle to make class tonight Miss... but I might just pop in and see what you're all up to :)
wow these two girls are so pop up present. I love this and I love how the hold together... where is the FAVORITE-Button???!!!
I think your origami paper helped you get a beautifully subtle Japanese feel to this piece :D XXX
Those faces are great! and the colors you have chosen seems to go well with them ladies here.
look at you go with the embossing powder and all. been loving your obsession with these faces. have missed the last skippety-zillion classes. so it goes.
I am so, so bummed I had to miss today's artsy antics... They are always such fun!
You're great.
