so.
how was your weekend?
mine was really good.
the cat class went great.
i almost didn't do it because i thought you guys were sick to death of cat paintings.
but then you guys showed up and it straight up
warmed my heart.
yikes.
i said warmed my heart.
i made fabric cat number 9,769,452,021
i'll probably stop making them soon.
at least that's what i thought.
but then i painted like... eleventy jillion of them in some of my altered book spreads today.
so if you missed the class, you can view the recording here. (hint = click the word 'here')
so.
anyway.
here is a spread in my art journal.
i said art journal.
| i LIKE it |
wanna know some stuff?
1. my lucky number is 8. always has been.
2. i posted at butterfly effect yesterday. i want to make espresso art now.
3. cameron has a webcam. i'm going to stalk her on skype.
4. i have totally renewed my interest in my sticker collection. why did i ever stop buying/trading/collecting stickers?
5. i know it doesn't help to manhandle my printer when it jams up, but i certainly feel better after Ripping The Offending Paper out. viciously.
6. hey! that just reminded me of sid and nancy. did you guys see that movie?
7. nancy's mom wrote a book too. i haven't read it in close to (shhhhh) years. But it is called 'and i don't want to live this life'
8. if you were like ever a wannabe punker, you'll like the book.
9. so i had a boyfriend that looked exactly like sid vicious when i was a teenager.
10. i Also had a boyfriend that didn't look like sid. i got this boy's name tattooed on my arm (my ARM) when i was 14. my parents didn't find out until we went to st. croix and i constantly wore a bandaid.
i was in big trouble.
11. that boy, he was deaf.
12. no really.
13. presumably he still is.
14. i think it's why he liked me.
15. back to sid and nancy. i was so smitten with the idea of being a badass that i named my goldfish sid and nancy.
16. a different boyfriend (not the one who looked like sid, and not the one who was deaf, but a different one altogether who could hear just fine) put one of the gold fish In His Mouth.
17. he put it back in the goldfish bowl after a bit and the fish was just fine.
18. that was the second boy that i ever kissed. you know, with my tongue.

7 insanely flattering remarks:
I really do like your cats, I'm going to catch up one of these days and watch the video....I'd like to make a kitty of my own.
Wow...I'm officially a topic of random conversation! LOVE it!
Also...I read all this then scrolled down to leave my comment...and a picture of your first commenter is there...all sweet and grandmotherly....you really do appeal to all, my Friend...
Now, stalk me...
Oh, btw...I tried to tell you a couple times during the cat class that you have til Dec 1st to send the Secret Santa swap...didn't want you to panic. I, myself, will be doing all my shopping on the 30th ;)
I always, always smile when I come here. Always. I love your art journal page. I smiled at the stuffed turkey label. That face has strength and purpose. I keep going back to her eye.
I like the colours, the sewing, the everything, and I really totally am taken with that eye.
The first boy I kissed (with my tounge - and do you know how naughty I feel just writing that in public), his nickname was Sid, after Sid Vicious. I had no idea who Sid was until that boy. I was a good girl geek. :)
Watched you class vid last night :D so much fun!! The marmite war in the chat box is just sooooo funny haha! I am a "Yellow Beret"(marmite supporter)...it has to be yellow right, like the jar top :D
elevnty kerjillion? You're going to get a reputation. Did you marry the fish mouth boy? Bet you didn't.
I watched sid and nancy a bajillion times back in the day. I still walk around moaning "I look like Stevie Nicks" on a regular basis. I have tomorrow off. Hoping to watch the cat video at last. better go visit my mother's sewing machine tonight in preparation.
I hope the kiss wasn't after he put the goldfish in his mouth - yikes! hahaha
Oooh - sticker collecting... Big fan, I am!
I have some stickers I can send to you (and I'd love to send you my "Amy Cat" if you want it too)... Don't feel obligated to accept, I won't be offended. But if you would like 'em send me an email :)
