Now, for Real, here are my paintings.
All three of the paintings i'll show you today have the palettes on the painting.
I think i really love that.

Sooo. This was my first experience with masking fluid.
I LOVE the concept but i clearly need more work with it.
Honestly i loved it so much that i'll totally be using it more often.

I see that i omitted the right hand on the following painting.

So. This next one is different.
It's a gel transfer and spray painted background on wood.
Then.
I drew the face and then painted the facial features with gouache.
Then i moved on to acrylic.

I absolutely adore these faces! Where have you been hiding them?! SO, what the hell do you do with the masking fluid. Other than what's implied. :) I've seen it used with watercolor so it doesn't go where it's not supposed to.

I need to stop reading your blog at work because it makes me laugh out loud and spray coffee out my nose, which totally blows my cover and gets my computer all messy. LOVING those paintings. And I can't seem to click through to see what your fabulous zombie/unicorn event is all about (stupid work filters) but will try my very best to remember to do this when I get home. First painting is my fave and I love that you used the painting as your palette. Totally going to check out your beeswax tutorial too (but sadly cannot do that at work either). Happy PPF.
I LOVE the idea of having your palette on the canvas- SO cool! And all of them turned out great; I'm torn between the first and the last as my favorites....I guess I'll just love them both!

I did everything you said to do like a good little ... I don't know what, but i checked out the tutorial, very exciting! and I checked out the butterfly effect, and I love your girl in the red hat, and that the palettes are on the painting, so great! and I will also participate in unicorns vs. zombies, but I have to be on the unicorn team! I have to, I couldn't possibly represent zombies, just isn't me.

I do that! With the pallette! I never thought to leave it there - I usually smear through it and make it part of the background. Mind you, I use anything that isn't sitting still as a pallette, i painted all the pages of my favourite notebook closed the other day! Closed it without thinking! Doh!
